Slack Notification block

DesirΓ©e M Updated by DesirΓ©e M

The Slack block lets you send automated notifications to a Slack channel whenever a user reaches that point in your bot flow β€” great for alerting your team about new leads or form submissions.

πŸ”— Connecting Your Slack Account

Before using the block, you need to connect at least one Slack workspace. You can do this directly from the block or from Integrations > Slack in the dashboard.

1️⃣ Open the Slack block in the builder and click Add to Slack (or go to Integrations > Slack and click Connect Now). You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the connection.

2️⃣ Select the channel where notifications should be posted from the "Channel for webhook" dropdown, then click Allow. You'll be redirected back to Landbot.

3️⃣ Back in the builder, select the connected channel from the dropdown inside the block.

πŸ’‘ You can connect multiple Slack channels from Integrations > Slack using Add New Channel. All connected channels will be available across your bots.

βœ‰οΈ Setting Up Your Message

Once the channel is selected, write the notification message. You can add Fields here as well.

Click Apply when you're done.

⚠️ Good to know

β€’ The @channel mention does not trigger a general Slack notification to your whole team the way it does natively in Slack.

β€’ It is not possible to mention Slack usernames in the message.

πŸ—‘οΈ Managing and Deleting Slack Connections

To remove a Slack connection, go to Integrations > Slack and click the delete icon next to the channel.

⚠️ You cannot delete an integration that is currently used in a bot. Remove the Slack block from the flow first, then delete the integration. If the integration is in use, Landbot will show you the bot ID so you can go directly to the builder.

πŸ“„ Privacy policy for our Slack integration

This integration works on Web, WhatsApp and Messenger bots.
