Send a WhatsApp Message Template from the Builder

With the Send a Message Template block, you can trigger a Message Template to be sent at any point in your flow 💪🏼

It allows you to easily integrate rich message templates, combine call-to-action (CTA) and quick reply buttons within their WhatsApp bot conversations, send media content and link these to various functionalities like CRM integrations and human takeover options directly from the builder.

Configuration

Setting up and configuring the block is easy:

  1. Select your WhatsApp number:
  1. Select the Template that you want to send:

You can choose the template from the drop-down menu in the same way as you do when sending a Campaign:

Message Templates without Buttons

You can add Message Templates with or without Buttons. Message Templates with no Buttons will appear like this in the builder:

Make sure that you connect both Outputs so that the flow can continue after the Message Template has been sent. If the Message Template fails to send for some reason, you can still continue the bot flow by connecting the Failed to Send Output 🙏🏻

If the Message Template that you add had Buttons, it will show like this in the bot:

You can connect the individual Buttons to different parts of your flow so that direct the user where you want based on their selection!

If you have all the Buttons connected, then the "Any of the above" option will trigger if the user inputs anything that is not the value of one of th Buttons. If you do not have any of the Button Outputs connected, then the "Any of the above" option will trigger with any input from the user 💪🏼

Limitations

  1. This feature cannot be used with Test this bot option (WhatsApp test channel). It will always follow the Failed Output option ❌
  2. If the selected template was modified, removed, paused or disabled the message won't be sent and the bot will continue from Fail Output ❌
  3. If the selected Template is from a different WABA than the sending phone number the template won't be sent and the bot will continue from Fail Output ❌

Channel Compatibility

This block is only available for full WhatsApp Channels, it is not compatible with Web bots ❌
